This is a nicely sculpted rendition of count Dooku, however Dooku's lightsaber is attached to his hand and he’s lacking in articulation for a character who, in The Revenge of the Sith, only appears to engage in a very dramatic duel scene before having his hands chopped off and being decapitated by Anakin.
Find Count Dooku (Battle Arena Trade Federation Cruiser) action figure on eBay
This is a very stiff Count Dooku and the lack of articulation in his right elbow is very limiting when it comes to displaying him in any sort of lightsaber duel. Without elbow articulation Dooku can’t really do battle with his lightsaber and without knee articulation and without removable hands or head Anakin can’t bring him to his knees and finish him off.
My copy of Dooku has a scimitar lightsaber which seems more orange than red.
Dooku's death creates a nice parallel (and potentially a moral equivalence) between Anakin and Mace Windu. Since Windu decapitates Jango Fett in Episode II and Anakin decaptitates Dooku in Episode III, this creates a very nice blurring between right and wrong in the finale of Episode III when Anakin and Windu debate over the fate of Palpatine as a prisoner and whether he should be allowed to live.
All Star Wars action figures, vehicles, collectibles and Star Wars toys shown on this website are the 3.75 inch scale and from my own private Star Wars collection unless otherwise stated. Where possible original vintage accessories have been used but in some instances I have placed Kenner Star Wars figures with either reproduction weapons and accessories or for Hasbro figures close approximations have been used. This is mostly the case for modern Star Wars lightsabers where the correct item can be very difficult to identify on some ocassions. Vintage Star Wars action figures are shown with their original weapon or accessory when I have them. When a vintage Kenner action figure is shown with an accessory which is not original I have tried to point this out where possible.
All of the Star Wars action figures shown were purchased second hand, usually incomplete, and in bulk. They have been reunited with their original weapons and accessories where we could get hold of them.
