Darth Vader (Rebuild Darth Vader) Action Figure: Overview

Rebuild Darth Vader Figure Revenge of the Sith Collection front

Vader's helmet fits very well and the Rebuld Darth Vader action figure reflects very well his stiffness as he first steps off the operating table like Frankenstein's monster.

Whilst I don't have the operating table for this figure, if you have a Chopper Droid, an FX-6 and 2-1B medical droid you can recreate a pretty good representation of Darth Vader's assembly. Just as Anakin had assembled the mechanical android C-3PO in Episode One here we see the framing of the Trilogy with the creation of another mechanical man. And whereas C-3PO is a droid made by a human, Vader is a cyborg made by droids. It's a nice contrast and reminds us of C-3PO's shock at the droid factory on Geonosis in Episode II when he discovers droids making droids, which to him is 'perverse'..

When you remove Darth Vader's helmet the face underneath looks like it’s spent a bit too long under a sunbed, which is very different from other Vader figures where the face underneath tends to look considerably more ghoulish after decades under the mask deprived of sunlight.

All Star Wars action figures, vehicles, collectibles and Star Wars toys shown on this website are the 3.75 inch scale and from my own private Star Wars collection unless otherwise stated. Where possible original vintage accessories have been used but in some instances I have placed Kenner Star Wars figures with either reproduction weapons and accessories or for Hasbro figures close approximations have been used. This is mostly the case for modern Star Wars lightsabers where the correct item can be very difficult to identify on some ocassions. Vintage Star Wars action figures are shown with their original weapon or accessory when I have them. When a vintage Kenner action figure is shown with an accessory which is not original I have tried to point this out where possible.

All of the Star Wars action figures shown were purchased second hand, usually incomplete, and in bulk. They have been reunited with their original weapons and accessories where we could get hold of them.
