Find Boga with Rearing Attack (with Obi-Wan Kenobi) on eBay

If anything the 3.75 inch scale Boga Monster with Rearing Attack looks even better than the one we see in The Revenge of the Sith. The mould is fabulous and so is the paintwork. The Boga creature that Obi-Wan rides on Utapau in the movie looks a little bit on the rubbery side, but its action figure counterpart does not suffer from this issue at all. It looks really fabulous.

The Boga has good enough articulation in its legs and enough flexibility in its tail to put it into a climbing descent to replicate the mountaineering antics of this beast during the high octane chase with General Grievous's Wheel Bike on Utapau.

The mould for the Obi-Wan figure's face is excellent and he sits very well on his Boga steed and holds the reins very well. Obi-Wan's boots are lovely and shiny but they're not absolutely top quality in the way that the boots for say the Fan's Choice Captain Antilles' boots are. Some knee articulation would have been nice in order to make him a more versatile action figure for play, but then again the lack of knee articulation also improves the aesthetics for display. Kenobi's facial detail is very good although his bottom lip looks a bit rubbery and his eye brows don't match his hair and beard.

It would have been really nice just to have some knee articulation with this rendition of Obi-Wan Kenobi so he could at least get on and off his Boga steed. The figure's seated position pretty much limits him to the chase with General Grievous and the scene in which Commander Cody returns his lightsaber to him and not much more.

The Boga creature seems to appear a bit too conveniently as Obi-Wan's commandeered steed. See my article on overly convenient modes of transportation in the Star Wars movies here.

All of the Star Wars action figures shown were purchased second hand, usually incomplete, and in bulk. They have been reunited with their original weapons and accessories where we could get hold of them.
