Tusken Raider with Massif Action Figure: Overview

Tusken Raider with Massif action figure Saga Series

The Saga Series Tusken Raider with Massif is one of a few Tusken Raider action figures from The Attack of the Clones which doesn't really translate into being also useful for A New Hope scenes, as we never see the Sand People's canine-like companions in Episode IV. It's a nice action figure to have but the leash does have a tendancy to slip out of the Tusken Raider's hand and keeps needing to be put back in position.

The Massif (frequently misspelt as mastiff due to their similarity to the dogs of planet Earth) is also kept by the Geonosians which seems to be a bit of a coincidence bearing in mind that the two species live on entirely different planets and neither seems particularly involved in space travel.

The Tusken Raider figure is pretty much the same as the Power of the Jedi Tusken Raider representing The Phantom Menace sniper at the Boonta Eve pod race, except that the Power of the Jedi one is more 'lemony' in colour.

Like the Tusken Raider with child, the Tusken Raider with Massif figure was recycled for the 30th Anniversary Collection Bantha Battle Pack.

If you have two of the Saga Series Massifs and the Rancor bone from the 30th Anniversary Collection Luke Skywalker then you can create the scene in which the two Massifs fight over a bone shortly before Anakin enters the Tusken Raider camp in the dead of night. For the second Massif I used is the one which comes with the Saga Series Geonosian Warrior action figure as they are identical except for the harness and the paint job.

Other Saga Series Action Figures

All Star Wars action figures, vehicles, collectibles and Star Wars toys shown on this website are the 3.75 inch scale and from my own private Star Wars collection unless otherwise stated. Where possible original vintage accessories have been used but in some instances I have placed Kenner Star Wars figures with either reproduction weapons and accessories or for Hasbro figures close approximations have been used. This is mostly the case for modern Star Wars lightsabers where the correct item can be very difficult to identify on some ocassions. Vintage Star Wars action figures are shown with their original weapon or accessory when I have them. When a vintage Kenner action figure is shown with an accessory which is not original I have tried to point this out where possible.

All of the Star Wars action figures shown were purchased second hand, usually incomplete, and in bulk. They have been reunited with their original weapons and accessories where we could get hold of them.
