Mas Amedda (Republic Senator) Action Figure: Overview

Mas Amedda Figure Republic Senator front

This action figure is a great representation of Mas Amedda from The Revenge of the Sith and every bit as ominous and imposing as the character in film.

With his black nail varnish, blue skin, blue teeth and blue eyes Mas Amedda makes for a seriously unnerving figure. I don't have the removable tongue that comes with him unfortunately. My only criticism of this action figure would be that the balljoints on Amedda's elbows are a little bulky and spoil the aesthetic just a little bit.

The statue on the top of his staff has rather an Art Deco look to it. Unfortunately, both Mas Amedda's staff and his horns seem to have a habit of going bendy over time.

This Revenge of the Sith Collection iteration of Mas Amedda is much less neon-coloured than its Power of the Jedi predecessor representing Amedda from The Phantom Menace.

Mas Amedda seems very good at keeping his job and survives the premiereship of Chancellor Valorum through to the transition to Palpatine as Chancellor and then Supreme Chancellor and then stays with Palpatine throughout his rise to totalitarian dictator and Emperor.

As Vice Chair of the Galactic Senate the mysterious character of Mas Amedda seems to have a role in the senate something akin to Speaker of the House, Chief Whip and Master of Ceremonies all at the same time. You can find Amedda's backstory on Wookieepedia here: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Mas_Amedda.

Other Revenge of the Sith Collection Action Figures

All Star Wars action figures, vehicles, collectibles and Star Wars toys shown on this website are the 3.75 inch scale and from my own private Star Wars collection unless otherwise stated. Where possible original vintage accessories have been used but in some instances I have placed Kenner Star Wars figures with either reproduction weapons and accessories or for Hasbro figures close approximations have been used. This is mostly the case for modern Star Wars lightsabers where the correct item can be very difficult to identify on some ocassions. Vintage Star Wars action figures are shown with their original weapon or accessory when I have them. When a vintage Kenner action figure is shown with an accessory which is not original I have tried to point this out where possible.

All of the Star Wars action figures shown were purchased second hand, usually incomplete, and in bulk. They have been reunited with their original weapons and accessories where we could get hold of them.
