The name of this 'Droid Attack' R2-D2 suggests that the figure is meant to represent the scene from Revenge of the Sith on the Trade Fedration Cruiser in which Artoo gets challenged by a couple of Super Battle Droids. Artoo's thrusters and also the melted Super Battle Droid accessory would support this, as would the colouring on the platform which is slightly suggestive of the oil slick with which R2-D2 unblances his adversaries. The platform however has a sew-saw motion which suggests that this Revenge of the Sith Collection R2-D2 is also meant to represent the scene in which the cruiser starts to break apart and Artoo starts slideing downhill and eventually gets buried under a pile of Battle Droids.

It's incredibly difficult to complete this R2-D2 Droid Attack action figure when buying from job lots. I think I had six of these R2-D2s them before I had all the parts and accessories that go with him. It took rather a long time to get a pair of the thrusters and also the burnt-up Super Battle Droid remains. At one point I'd even accidentally attached the grabber from a B'omarr Monk figure to the top of Artoo by mistake. I think in my defence these are two of the very few Star Wars figures with grabbers for body parts that are detachable.

If you look closely at the melted down Super Battle Droid accessory which comes with the R2-D2 Droid Attack figure there is a protocol droid head amongst the wreckage. Not only doesn't this fit in with the scene from The Revenge of the Sith, if the protocol droid is supposed to be C-3Po then this is even more confusing.

All of the Star Wars action figures shown were purchased second hand, usually incomplete, and in bulk. They have been reunited with their original weapons and accessories where we could get hold of them.
