Polis Massan (Medic) Action Figure: Overview

Polis Massan Figure Medic Revenge Of The Sith Collection front

The Polis Massan is one of the roughly humanoid medics from Tantive IV who try to save Padmé during childbirth in The Revenge of the Sith. We don't see much of them (except on the landing platform / hangar bay of the Alderaan frigate) as they are in the background while the medical droids undertake the actual procedures.

Even though the Polis Massan figure has no knee articulation, the upper body articulation makes him a very expressive action figure indeed.

The Massan figure's holster is fairly unusual in that the blaster slots in from the back and it is rather like a little wallet. It works very well and the blaster fits tightly. The Polis Massan action figure's headgear is in keeping with Tantive IV apparel from this period if we look at Captain Antilles's headgear as being representative for instance. It doesn't stay on the action figure's head very well though and you keep having to adjust it.

The Polis Massan have those sort of flat, featureless pancake faces which we might more readily associate with a Clone Wars Collection Jawa. This serves to give the Polis Massan figure a very gentle and placid demenour without any hard edges which provides a very good contrast with the very angular and jagged medical droids which are simultaneously bolting armour and prosthetics onto Anakin/Vader's broken body.

Note: When Padmé is giving birth it sounds like the medical droid is hailing a cab. He keeps saying 'Uber, uber'.

Other Revenge of the Sith Collection Action Figures

All Star Wars action figures, vehicles, collectibles and Star Wars toys shown on this website are the 3.75 inch scale and from my own private Star Wars collection unless otherwise stated. Where possible original vintage accessories have been used but in some instances I have placed Kenner Star Wars figures with either reproduction weapons and accessories or for Hasbro figures close approximations have been used. This is mostly the case for modern Star Wars lightsabers where the correct item can be very difficult to identify on some ocassions. Vintage Star Wars action figures are shown with their original weapon or accessory when I have them. When a vintage Kenner action figure is shown with an accessory which is not original I have tried to point this out where possible.

All of the Star Wars action figures shown were purchased second hand, usually incomplete, and in bulk. They have been reunited with their original weapons and accessories where we could get hold of them.
