CZ-4 (Return of the Jedi) Action Figure: Overview

The 30th Anniversary Collection CZ-4 is a very nicely moulded action figure, but there's not a lot of action in him. Once you've got him, the CZ-4 figure gets slumped in a corner in the droid torture chamber in Jabba's Palace and pretty much forgotten about. Poor CZ-4!

That said, the 30th Anniversary CZ-4 figure is a very well-articulated and nicely painted action figure. It's just a shame that he only has a small role to fulfil which is to look slightly dejected at the back of EV-9D9's/a> droid torture chamber.

The elbow articulation on CZ-4 blends in very well, whereas on some Star Wars 30th Anniversary Collection action figures this sort of swivel articulation can look very artificial.

CZ-4's eyes look rather organic making me wonder whether he might be a cyborg of some kind, like General Grievous. Either way being able to see the whites of his eyes adds some pathos to his plight at Jabba's Palace.

In the photo below of my Droid Torture Chamber diorama you can make out the 2-1B Medical Droid in the background. This action figure has seen better days and is missing it's breathing apparatus so I simply suspended him upside down on the back wall using a couple of drawing pins to open out his legs.

Other 30th Anniversary Collection Action Figures

All Star Wars action figures, vehicles, collectibles and Star Wars toys shown on this website are the 3.75 inch scale and from my own private Star Wars collection unless otherwise stated. Where possible original vintage accessories have been used but in some instances I have placed Kenner Star Wars figures with either reproduction weapons and accessories or for Hasbro figures close approximations have been used. This is mostly the case for modern Star Wars lightsabers where the correct item can be very difficult to identify on some ocassions. Vintage Star Wars action figures are shown with their original weapon or accessory when I have them. When a vintage Kenner action figure is shown with an accessory which is not original I have tried to point this out where possible.

All of the Star Wars action figures shown were purchased second hand, usually incomplete, and in bulk. They have been reunited with their original weapons and accessories where we could get hold of them.
