Jango Fett (Bounty Hunter) Action Figure: Overview

Jango Fett Bounty Hunter action figure close up

Make no mistake that this iteration of Jango Fett from the 30th Anniversary Collection is a truly wonderful action figure both in terms of detail and versatility. The helmet, armour and cape are all removable which means that at last we had a Jango Fett figure which we could use in a domestic setting in his quarters on Kamino when he meets Obi-Wan Kenobi for the first time. With his sleeves rolled up the casual look is completed, and you can also have his son Boba keeping Jango's armour hidden away from Obi-Wan's prying eyes whilst Jango makes his disingenuous and cagey speech about being a simple man trying to make his way in the universe.

This 30th Anniversary Collection action figure gives us Jango Fett transforming from his domestic, sleeves-rolled-up hanging around-the-apartment attire into his Bounty Hunter work clothes as he quickly gets ready to flee Kamino and go on the run from Obi-Wan. I can't help imagining that before Taun We knocked on the door he'd been doing the washing up.

When the action figure is fully equipped with his armour, jetpack and cape this is Jango making his escape from Kamino and ready for battle. This Jango Fett figure wouldn't even look too out of place if you used him for Geonosis scenes.

The clip-on armour is really good and fits very well, and this Jango Fett action figure really has the feel of the character we first meet in the film. This is one of the Star Wars action figures which can be transformed with removable armour, another being the Anakin Skywalker With Darth Vader Tunic And Armour from the Revenge Of The Sith Collection (Rise of Darth Vader action figure) and the Saga Series C-3PO Protocol Droid action figure. Its execution here doesn't feel gimmicky in the slightest and enhances play and display value considerably.

Jango's blasters are grey rather than the usual silver which I would have preferred. The face of this Jango Fett figure is also a little too smooth and a bit of a five o'clock shadow would not have gone amiss to bring him closer to the Jango Fett of The Attack of the Clones. Clone Troopers are clean shaven, Fett though is not and this helps to distinguish him from his clone progeny.

Other 30th Anniversary Collection Action Figures

All Star Wars action figures, vehicles, collectibles and Star Wars toys shown on this website are the 3.75 inch scale and from my own private Star Wars collection unless otherwise stated. Where possible original vintage accessories have been used but in some instances I have placed Kenner Star Wars figures with either reproduction weapons and accessories or for Hasbro figures close approximations have been used. This is mostly the case for modern Star Wars lightsabers where the correct item can be very difficult to identify on some ocassions. Vintage Star Wars action figures are shown with their original weapon or accessory when I have them. When a vintage Kenner action figure is shown with an accessory which is not original I have tried to point this out where possible.

All of the Star Wars action figures shown were purchased second hand, usually incomplete, and in bulk. They have been reunited with their original weapons and accessories where we could get hold of them.
