Pax Bonkik Figure 30th Anniversary

Pax Bonkik (Podracer Mechanic) Action Figure: Overview

The 30th Anniversary Collection Pax Bonkik action figure is one of the very best renditions of a member of the Rodian species available. I really wish I had a Greedo figure who looked quite this good. The facial detail on the Pax Bonkik figure is just superb, as is the waistcoat, and his long sucker-fingers are beautifully executed. I sort of wish he were placed in a scene less trivial than the Pod Race in The Phantom Menace as he would have looked great in the Mos Eisley Cantina or in Jabba's Palace. Pax Bonkik was meant for greater things than fixing up pod racers.

The blue Han Solo-style waist coat is a very stylish item of apparel indeed and if anything the Podracer Mechanic action figure looks much cooler than the Pax Bonkik character in the film whose jacket looks much more loose fitting.

The Pax Bonkik figure comes with a small blaster which looks to be the same as that which shipped with the 2006 Saga Collection Greedo figure, a fellow Rodian. This follows somewhat a tradition of giving the same species the same sort of blaster. The Gran figures Ask Aak and Mawhonic also carry the same style of blaster rifle, even though one is a Republic senator on Coruscant and the other a Pod racer pilot on Tatooine.

Other 30th Anniversary Collection Action Figures

All Star Wars action figures, vehicles, collectibles and Star Wars toys shown on this website are the 3.75 inch scale and from my own private Star Wars collection unless otherwise stated. Where possible original vintage accessories have been used but in some instances I have placed Kenner Star Wars figures with either reproduction weapons and accessories or for Hasbro figures close approximations have been used. This is mostly the case for modern Star Wars lightsabers where the correct item can be very difficult to identify on some ocassions. Vintage Star Wars action figures are shown with their original weapon or accessory when I have them. When a vintage Kenner action figure is shown with an accessory which is not original I have tried to point this out where possible.

All of the Star Wars action figures shown were purchased second hand, usually incomplete, and in bulk. They have been reunited with their original weapons and accessories where we could get hold of them.
