M'iiyoom Onith (Mos Eisley Cantina) Action Figure: Overview

Miiyoom Onith action figure (Mos Eisley Cantina) close up

Apparently a female of her species the 30th Anniversary Collection M'iiyoom Onith action figure is a sticky-beaked character that comes with her own Cantina corner bar section and a cup of blue liquid (maybe the same as the blue milk seen at the Lars Homestead). M'iiyoom Onith is rather nattily dressed, although quite androgynously so and contributes well to the overall Cantina alien freak show.

This beaky little M'iiyoom Onith character is one of the many unusual looking patrons of the Mos Eisley Cantina. Her long narrow beak looks like it's made for getting nectar out of tulips or orchids like a bipedal hummingbird. Perhaps her surname of Onith is supposed to be reminiscent of ornithology as a subtle nod towards her avian appearance.

Apparently there are other androgynous female aliens loitering around the Cantina bar. According to The Star Wars Character Encyclopaedia, 2014 Kabe is also female as is Kitik Keed'kak. One can't help feeling that certain Cantina aliens have been given a female designation retrospectively in response to the charge that there are very few female characters in A New Hope.

Aside from her blaster I'm missing the accessories which come with the 30th Anniversary M'iiyoom Onith action figure.

Other 30th Anniversary Collection Action Figures

All Star Wars action figures, vehicles, collectibles and Star Wars toys shown on this website are the 3.75 inch scale and from my own private Star Wars collection unless otherwise stated. Where possible original vintage accessories have been used but in some instances I have placed Kenner Star Wars figures with either reproduction weapons and accessories or for Hasbro figures close approximations have been used. This is mostly the case for modern Star Wars lightsabers where the correct item can be very difficult to identify on some ocassions. Vintage Star Wars action figures are shown with their original weapon or accessory when I have them. When a vintage Kenner action figure is shown with an accessory which is not original I have tried to point this out where possible.

All of the Star Wars action figures shown were purchased second hand, usually incomplete, and in bulk. They have been reunited with their original weapons and accessories where we could get hold of them.
